So the FinTech50 were announced last night. These are the 50 most innovative fintech start-ups, as voted for by a panel that included yours truly.
The process is quite rigorous with the organisers - Julie Lake and Nicky Cotter - bringing together over 700 global contenders for a range of specialist panels to review. The panels comprise those focused upon payments, retail banking, capital markets, insurance and so on. These panels select around 20-30 companies to go forward to a final review, at which point the final 50 are selected.
The results were announced last night at a star-studded (?) affair in the City, so here are the 50 companies that are viewed as the best FinTech leaders 2015:
