On 1st February 2010, Gresham College is hosting the second Long Finance event at The Willis Building, 51 Lime Street, London EC3M 7DQ, UK.
The event supported by the Financial Services Club and it is free, including a free lunch, from 11:45 to 14:30.
Speakers will include the musician Brian Eno, Stewart Brand of the Whole Earth Catalog, Bernard Lietaer who co-created the ECU, and many other interesting characters all examining the question: “how would we know when our financial system is working?”

On another note, the 13th annual Digital Money Forum takes place in London on 10th-11th March 2010 and will have some fun with "The Dragon Factor's Got Talent".
They're inviting new companies in the payment space to come along and showcase their ideas in the form of a competition where each firm will get to make a 10 minute "elevator pitch" to the audience (with no slides or visual aids).
A kind of payovate for the EU payments markets (see Finovate for more on that one).
At the end of the Forum the firms will be "judged" by an expert panel, who will award a prize to the pitch they think most likely to succeed as a business.
So everyone will have fun, see some new ideas and perhaps see a new business get international attention.
If you're happy to come along and pitch, the organisers will provide a complementary delegate place for the event and a room for the night at the conference hotel.
