Until last night, I had never heard of Optiver.
Today, they are firmly on my radar as someone said I should "YouTube" them.
A bit like Googling someone, YouTube is now the name to get your name known.
So I YouTubed Optiver and what I found made me laugh the night away.
Here's a brief example.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
There's a whole series of those ads, from "would you rather be in a bull or a bear market" (bears of course, because they're cuddly and don't have horns) to "what is an exercise price" (the price you pay if you don't keep fit).
Brilliant.
Oh yea, Optiver if you haven't gathered, are a global market maker who are Dutch with a strong Australian footprint.
If only to reinforce the fact that political correctness has yet reach Australia, there's a few ads you could just never launch in some markets. This one you could just about get away with:
But this one you couldn't:
p.s. if you only watch one ad, watch the last one as that's the one that cost the Marketing Manager his job :-)
