Speaking of stripping men (see blog below about contactless marketing), last year I blogged about a spoof of how to get folks to come into Barclays Bank by putting strippers in the window:
This was a mockup but now it appears that the Russian subsidiary of Unicredit Bank has taken the idea seriously, and hired strippers to dance above the bank's windows at night to attract attention:
I thought this cannot be true, but then this is Russia where one bank persuaded female members of staff to dress up for a sexy calendar last year, so it might work.
Not sure we'll see it being copied in London though.
Thanks to Michal Kisiel of Finnovation who spotted this one and, in case you don't read the comments, PattyBee says: "Sadly - in this economy -- bet the strippers can make more $ in a club than
in the bank". She is so right. From CBS News today:
From Jobless to Topless
As a bartender and trainer at a national
restaurant chain, Rebecca Brown earned a couple thousand dollars in a
really good week. Now, as a dancer at Chicago's Pink Monkey gentleman's
club, she makes almost that much in one good night.
