The Austrian Times reports that a desperate bridegroom committed four bank robberies after his fiance's plans for a huge white wedding got out of hand.
"The hapless groom, a 36-year-old Turk living in Vienna, netted more than €275,000 ($350,000) before he was caught but it still wasn't enough for his fiancee who demanded 500 guests, a Chanel gown, a new car for the drive to the service and a Caribbean honeymoon."
The poor sucker was caught when an off duty policeman grabbed him as he fled a bank.
"The wedding was costing a lot of money and I realised I would never be able to pay for it", the robber groom Ahmed Boyer told the court. "The money from the first robbery went in a day so I just kept going."
It must be love, love, love.
