For all those who have kept up with my rants about Microsoft and Vista, I've stopped.
I stopped because it was getting boring and, although I still have problems, there are a lot less since Service Packs and Updates by the day have settled the system down.
Anyway, if you want to find out my thoughts on the subject then just go over here.
And why am I posting today a story about Vista?
Because of Apple's latest ads.
This one is good:
This one is great.
And this one is fantastic.
What it's got to do with Apple's products and the Mac though, I have no idea.
Meanwhile, for all those interested, Microsoft released their Quarterly results this week. Overall were up 9% to $15.1 billion from $13.8 billion a year ago, whilst net income increased 2% to $4.37 billion. Of these numbers however, the Windows Unit reported 2% growth in sales and a 4% decline in profits: $4.22
billion and $3.27 billion respectively.
Windows delivers a 77% profit margin and that is why Windows Vista is so key to their future.
This decline in profitability of Windows is a further sign of the issues with Vista.
